Black Lives Matter Turns 10 (2023)

Black Lives Matter Grassroots IS Black Lives Matter.

We are the folks who have been boots on the ground, protesting, passing legislation, and supporting families since 2013. It was July 13, 2013 when we were founded following the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the criminal trial for murdering Treyvon Martin.

The mission of Black Lives Matter Grassroots is to support, sustain, and uplift the necessary agitations, mobilizations, community organizing, and initiatives of Black Lives Matter chapters in order to fulfill our sacred duty to advance Black liberation.
